"Stoicism was the dominant philosophical school in ancient Greece and Rome for about 400 years. The contributions of the Hellenistic Stoics to philosophy of language, logic, formal ontology and ethics were seminal in western philosophy, and have been appropriated in contemporary philosophical work...
